J. Andrew Meyer, Esq.

Has focused his practice on consumer protection.

Andrew Meyer was born in Deland, Florida, in 1970. He graduated with an International Baccalaureate Degree from St. Petersburg High School in 1988, and attended the University of Florida, graduating in 1991 with a degree in Economics awarded with High Honors. Mr. Meyer also attended law school at the University of Florida, receiving his juris doctorate degree in 1995. While at the University of Florida, Mr. Meyer was inducted into Florida Blue Key and Phi Beta Kappa.

Mr. Meyer was first trained as a lawyer by Richard T. Earle, Jr., and thereafter worked at the Attorney General's Office for the State of Florida in the Bureau of Criminal Appeals before becoming a senior staff attorney for the Florida Second District Court of Appeal. Mr. Meyer also served as a law clerk to the Honorable Chris W. Altenbernd, Retired, at the Second District Court of Appeal. Following his time at the Second DCA, Mr. Meyer worked at Carlton Fields, focusing his practice on appellate matters.  In 2004, Mr. Meyer became an advocate for consumers as a partner at James Hoyer, and then later moved to Morgan & Morgan's class action department in 2009.

Aaron M. Swift, Esq.

Attorney Aaron M. Swift was born in St. Petersburg, FL and raised in Mechanicsburg, PA. In 2007, Aaron graduated cum laude from Dickinson College in Carlisle, PA where he received a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science. Following undergrad, Aaron matriculated to Stetson University College of Law as a John B. Stetson Merit Scholar.  At Stetson, Aaron served as the Vice President of the Entertainment, Arts & Sports Law Society, Sports Commissioner, and Equal Justice Works President. Additionally, Aaron interned at the Florida Department of Children and Families, served as a national ABA Liaison, earned the Daniel N. Burton “Against All Odds” Scholarship, and worked as a law clerk with LeavenLaw in the consumer law department.

After graduating from Stetson in 2011, Aaron served as the Assistant Director of Alumni Relations at Stetson Law, and in his capacity there, was instrumental in the creation and administration of Stetson's Solo Practice Network. In 2012, Aaron accepted an Associate Attorney position at LeavenLaw in St. Petersburg and primarily practiced in the Creditor Harassment, Credit Reporting, and Consumer Law department. As a Senior Associate at LeavenLaw, Aaron managed a Consumer Law team and litigated hundreds of consumer law cases in state and federal courts across Florida.

Aaron now continues his passionate fight on behalf of Florida consumers by protecting their peace of mind by way of the Bankruptcy Code.  In addition, Aaron and The Bankruptcy Team approach debt relief from multiple angles, by not only helping clients discharge debt, but by protecting clients from harassment and reviewing credit reports to ensure that TBT clients receive the full benefit of their fresh start!

In the community, Aaron has volunteered as a Big Brother mentor and volunteered as a Lunch Pals mentor to a local youth.  He is a member of the St. Petersburg Bar Association, Clearwater Bar Association, and Pinellas County Trial Lawyers Association.  Aaron graduated from the Leadership St. Petersburg Class of 2016 and serves as a Board Member for ALPHA House of Pinellas County.  Additionally, Aaron is an active member of the National Association of Consumer Advocates (NACA) and National Consumer Law Center (NCLC). Aaron lives in St. Petersburg with his wife, Shannon, and their two dogs, Penny and Sophie.

Attorney Jordan Isringhaus

Attorney Jordan Isringhaus

Attorney Jordan Isringhaus earned his Bachelor of Arts, cum laude from Valparaiso University in Indiana and his Juris Doctor cum laude from Stetson University College of Law in Florida.

While at Stetson, Jordan was a member of Stetson Law’s Honors Program and served as an intern at the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Florida and in his final year, as a clerk at the Supreme Court of Georgia in Atlanta.

Since 2011, Jordan has represented consumers in the fields of bankruptcy, collection defense and creditor harassment and also litigated trials, managed appeals, and argued multiple times before several district court appeals panels.

Legal Staff

Jennifer Murphy

Jennifer Murphy serves as a Paralegal with The Bankruptcy Team. Jennifer comes to us with 14 years of training and experience in the areas of Chapter 7 and Chapter 13 bankruptcies. In this role, she provides support to attorneys and clients throughout the bankruptcy process. Jennifer takes pride in her role of assisting clients to obtain financial relief.

In addition to Jennifer’s experience in bankruptcy, she has also working in the areas of criminal defense, family law, personal injury and credit harassment.

Jennifer is a lifelong St. Petersburg, Florida native and attended school at USF and St. Petersburg College. She also enjoys all aspects of Florida living including fishing, boating and spending time at the beach.
